Cindi-Holly, don't you feel funny because people know so much about you and you don’t know anything about them? I mean I know all about you. You don’t know me.
Holly-No. I’ve always been extremely open. I’ve always been the kind of person that would tell everybody basically anything. I don’t really hide anything about myself. I’m not ashamed of anything. It’s just this weird trait. I don’t have a problem revealing things about myself. I don’t feel shy. I’m just an open honest person and I’m comfortable with that.
Cindi- Good. Then I want to hear all about this rumor that you are posing nude!
Holly-It's just promo shots for myself-- Celebrity Sleuth wanted sexier pics of me so I figured it was a good time to do it. And it's only implied nudity-- nothing actually shows like Luke thought it would. He was so upset because he thought I was doing spread shots. It's Celebrity Sleuth who expressed interest for their "25 Sexiest" Issue. Now before anyone gets too excited, I don't even know if I'm in the ranking of that "25" or if that's just the issue I would be in. Who knows, they might decide not to run me at all! .
ONE MORE THING- Now that you guys are broken up, what is your life like? What has changed?
Luke-It was a weird transition from lovers to friends but we made it just fine. Still, all relationships between the opposite sex are inherently unstable.
Holly-You can say that I'm taking numbers from the guys lining up at my door. ;) I'm not in a relationship, and I'm focused on my career right now so I couldn't care less. I'm not the kind of girl who always needs a boyfriend-- I'm single more often than I'm not.

H-I know it’s funny. The strange thing about sex goes back to our primal urges and instincts. It’s very much the animalistic side of us. Me because I am so dominant in real life, I have to run a company and stuff like that, when it comes to sex I like to give up all that control, and I like to flip it the opposite way. He would want to raise the kids Jewish and I don’t want to raise my children under any religious denomination what so ever. I’m 100 times more liberal then he is. There would be serious issues in the way we wanted to raise our kids.

H-He is. And in a way he creates it for himself. And in a way he likes it because like most writers that is what drives his work.
C-So you think he likes being a tortured soul?
H-I’m not so sure that he likes it consciencly. But it seeks it unconsciencly. He was shuffled around to different homes when he was young, so that is all he knows is confliction, and not having a sense of belonging. And you tend to act out in your adult life what you experienced in your childhood. It’s like me. I don’t consider myself a drama queen, and I don’t think you will meet anyone who will say I am a drama queen. But it’s like my whole thing with Luke, anyone with half a brain wouldn’t have gotten involved with him because it would have been broadcast all over the internet. And blown up in their face. But I went and did it because growing up with the kind of Mother I grew up with and the kind of environment I grew up with, I am used to drama. So subconsciously I create it myself when it’s not happening.
C-Is Luke good in bed?
H-Yeah! I got him to do some things he’s never done before.
C-Would you like to name them?
H-I brought out a little more of the animal, I got him to talk dirty basically.
C-Oh my God, I would love that. He’s got such a beautiful accent.

Luke's odd eating habits
Cindi-So have you ever had sex in Luke’s serial killer van?
Holly-No. I have never even been in his van. I have never even seen the inside. I refuse to get in that van.
C-Has Luke ever paid for a date?
H-Once when we went to a kosher restruant and he has a tab there. And he bought something else once, I think it was coffee. I forget.
C-I can’t believe that doesn’t bother him.
H-You know what, I can’t believe it doesn’t bother him either.
C-Luke is such an old-fashioned gentlemen, and the way things are supposed to be is where the wife stays home and has babies and cooks and cleans. I would think that part of that would be paying for everything. I guess not.
H-It’s an odd idiocyncrasy with him because I have dated a lot of guys that are just as poor, well I don’t know if anyone is as poor as Luke. Close enough, and I offered to pay and it’s bothered them a lot. It has actually been a major problem in a lot of relationships I’ve had. I'd rather seriously date someone who has some money, not because I am a gold digger but because it’s not like I have to pay for everything and then they feel bad about it. And I am kind of a snot about where I go, I like nice restaurants and when I go on vacation I like to stay at nice hotels, and I don’t mind paying, but obviously for men it’s a problem.
C-Right. You want to stay at the Hilton, and they can’t afford to pay for the Hilton.
H-And then they can afford Motel 6, and I’m not going to stay at Motel 6.
C-Do you often hang out at the hovel (Luke’s apartment).
H-Hell no. I have only been there two times and I think both times was because he was sick.
C-Does he really not have a bed?
H-No he really doesn’t.
C-No mattress, no nothing?
H-He recently got some kind of magnetic theraputic thing for the floor, but it’s ridiculous.
C-Don’t you often wonder, I mean I know that I do. He has a lot of illnesses and a lot of problems and takes medication. Do you wonder if it has something to do with the environment he puts himself in? He lives in a Hovel and sleeps on the floor. He drives a crap van. He writes about a thing he hates and that conflicts him. The fact that he eats so many carbs, and sugar and doesn’t eat any meat? That’s all so unhealthy. Maybe he needs a fresh environment and some turkey or chicken.
H-That could be it. But he was raised that way as a child. He was never allowed to eat meat. He was very healthy as a child, and as a young adult. He used to run marathons. And when his Chronic Fatigue Syndrome hit, it’s since then he’s been unhealthy. But he’s had basically the same diet. That’s a good question because I don’t know, I wonder if that kind of hit when he started living on his own. Because he doesn’t have a kitchen, he really doesn’t have anyway to make himself good meals.
C-It bothers me, and I worry about him. His father would make lentil and potato and carrot stew which is healthy. But he eats the glazed donuts and bagels and cream cheese at all these sets and at these writer meetings because that is all there is.
H-He mainly lives on peanut butter, chocolate and banana smoothies. I’ve made him food many times. There is a soy, basil, tomato soup that I make that he loves. I’ve made him food before and bring it over for him, but I can’t feed the guy. I’m not his mother.
C-I know.
H-I do what I can. But I can’t support his eating habits.
C-I know Holly, but it just always bothers me. I want him to come to my house and let me take care of him, just for a week. And say Luke-You are going to eat whatever I put in front of you and sleep in a real bed, and write poetry about flowers. Just to see if he feels better.
H-I know, but he is sooo picky. He doesn’t like this. He doesn’t like that. He’s a vegetarian that doesn’t like vegetables. I’m serious. One of the first times we went out to eat, he ordered a tostado salad and he picked all the vegetables and ate the beans and the cheese.
C- That's funny, you just called him picky. And yesterday I called you picky. You two do have a lot of things in common....

Holly has put out quite a few movies now and is getting better with every one! She is a good director and has an excellent sense of color and set design. She also casts great looking chicks! Cindi- Do you come up with these titles yourself?
Holly- No. The only one I came up with was “ The Young and the Raunchy” which someone commented was the lamest title they had ever heard in their life. I think a lot of people in porn take it way too serious. I like to have fun with it. The anal movie we came out with is called “Love between the Cheeks”
C-That’s a cute name. How do you pick who you shoot? Because you have been called picky.
H-I’m very picky. Obviously they have to be hot. They have to have a good attitude. I mean obviously I’ve had to shot some serious bitches. If they have a good attitude, and they are positive and they are into it and they give a great performance, I’ll hire them again and again.
C-They all come in for Poloroids first right?
H-Yes. They come in for test shots and I can get an idea If they’ve modeled before, whether they know how to pose. What I have to concentrate on. If they need to get a tan. I can see if there are any flaws that I need to hide. There are a lot of things I have to plan for which is why I insist on seeing them in person first. So when I shoot them I can make them look the best as possible.
C-What is the hardest thing you ever had to tell anybody, besides turning them down. You must of had to tell people things that you didn’t want to say.
H-I’ve definitely had to tell this one girl that, we shot her once and then we shot her again a month and a half later and she had gained like 10-15 pounds and she was a small girl. It really showed. It definitely showed in her stomach. So as a woman I understand weight issues, I’ve been battling my weight my whole life. But I don’t make a living in front of the camera. I can get as fat as I want and I’ll still have a job. I told her in the nicest way that I could, "You’ve gained a little bit of weight. I want to shoot you again, and I want you to be in the best shape possible cause I want to get the best shoot on you." I gave her some pointers like spinning class, running and cut some carbs, watch the sugar, no sodas. I told her she was a beautiful girl and she had a beautiful face. You can always work on your body, that is something you can change and control.
C-So she didn’t get pissed?
H-No she was fine, but she took it really to heart. She was only eighteen and after that she refused to eat.
C-You, Holly Randall, are the cause of the poor girls anorexia!
H-I know, I felt terrible. Because then she ended up collapsing and having to go to the emergency room.
I thought it was all my fault, but then I talked to her and she said a couple other photographers had told her the same thing. And I don’t know how they put it. But I tried to feed her.
C-You are very mothering I can tell. That's how you ended up with Luke.
H-I know. I have three models staying with me. I feel like I am running this bed and breakfast. I live alone and I have a big house…
C-I thought you lived with your parents.
H-Oh hell no.
C-I always hear about the ranch, so I thought you lived there.
H-HELL NO! The office is up here at the ranch, that’s why I am here all the time. I moved out at eighteen. I love my Mom but….
C-I would guess that at least a third of the girls that want to shot with you, you have to turn down.
H-Yeah, at least.

Luke, although following his father's teachings, always had an ambivalence about his religion. Some of the rules just didn't make sense. Then Luke found Judaism and everything fell into place. A religion that required much of him in duty, strictness and routine was perfect for Luke who craved structure and morality in his life. In 1992 he converted. Spending many hours with Orthodox Jews, in temple, studying the Torah regularly and observing the Sabbath made Luke finally feel the connection with people he considered his equals. But as always, Luke needed to create controversy in his life. He decided his first book would be " The History of X", a factual book about the first one hundred of Adult Films. He jumped right in to work, planning to be a researcher and observer. Feeling he would have no problem balancing his work and his religion, Luke kept his book's subject matter in his work world, and his religious observances in his personal world. Never did he think he would become a permanent resident of the porn family, nor a reporter on the industry. As a matter of fact he decided before hand he wanted nothing more to do with X or it's characters after his book was done. Prometheus Books published "The History of X" in 1999, to not so rave reviews. But Luke, didn't reject his new found subject matter. He got drawn in. He was fascinated and repulsed at the same time by these people who had sex for a living. Luke came out of his shell a bit, even to go as far as to participate in an X-rated movie. Luke started his own gossip site, Lukeford.com which became the top site to read. He ran it for several years until he did what he knew he should have done long ago. He sold his site for $25, 000 and took a year long pilgrimage Israel. He wanted to get back to his roots, his religion and away from his vice. Coming back to Cali about a year later, he tried making a living with other types of writing and soon found him self drawn back to X, and welcomed back with open arms by the adult community. After running a few sites for other people, he started up where he left off with LukeIsBack.com. Back to writing about the porn insiders, and also mafia dealings, corruption and underhanded money dealings. Back to being the Luke Ford he was before he left.
In October 2005, Luke covered an X-Rated industry award show in Tampa, and ended up spending some time with a beautiful girl named Holly. It all started when he asked her to go swimming....

H-Hell no. No no no no no. I had a boyfriend still at the time. Nothing happened between us there. That is when we just started talking. Oh, you know what, it was at my house the day after Halloween. He came over after the party and we watched movies and stuff.
C-Made out?
H-Well, yeah.
C-What attracts you to him?
H-First of all he is obviously extremely intelligent and for me that is the number one feature in a guy. Also the fact that he is kind of a loner, I was interested by him. I had heard all the shit about him from different people. But I knew that everyone is not what people say they are. I was interested in knowing what he really was like.
C-I would really like to know what he is like too, and I’ve been friends with him for 6 or 7 years and I have no idea. Because he is so complicated.
H-Yeah, but he’s actually not. I don’t want to sit here and analyze Luke.
C-Why not I do it all the time?
H-He is incredibly simplistic in some ways too. Like a lot of men are.
C-So you were actually a couple for six weeks?
H-Uhm, I guess so.
C-Where you a couple or were you just dating?
H-I think we were just dating, I’m not sure. I think we both had different takes on the relationship. I was a little confused as to what was going on. The problem with Luke is that he won’t necessarily tell you exactly what he was thinking to my face. But then he would go home and write it on his site. And I would come home and say to him, why didn’t you just say that? Talk to me!
C-I think it is easier for him to communicate what he feels when he writes, through his site.
H-Oh absolutely. And that is the way I am too. But the big difference is that I don’t post it on a site. And that is the way he is and the way he operates. I understand. My father is a writer. They do have a lot of similarities. My Dad actually likes Luke. He thinks he’s funny.
C-I am surprised that you haven’t slapped Luke around though for some of the things he has said about you on his site. He professes his love and then slams you in the next sentence.
H-I know. It’s bizarre.
C-Is that passive-aggressive or what?
H-Definitely. There have been things that he has written down that pissed me off. More so when he says anything about my family or about my business. That makes me angrier then personal stuff. Personal things just bounce right off me.
C- Being on your site must have got you more hits. Holly, I had never heard of you, until you started dating Luke. He made you a lot more famous then you were.
H-Yeah, I guess.
C-And he’s got your site more members too.
H-I’ll whore myself out for my site anyday. Come on, where’s Gene Ross I’ll do him too. I want to be on every site.

When Luke enters elementary school, he finds it hard to make friends. His mischief attracts student's attention, but also the annoyance of his teachers. His time alone ( which was a lot) was spent veraciously reading, or running until he could run no more. Even at this young age Luke had trouble with social interaction and preferred the safety of keeping to himself. At about thirteen, Luke was running marathons. This along with his new maturity and good looks helped him gain confidence in himself, he deepened friendships and finally started feeling like he fit in. At this same time, Luke's father was causing controversy within his religious group by speaking openly against some of their doctrine. This eventually caused a split in the adventist community and Luke's father (with others) went on to start a ministry that reached Christians of different denominations.
In tenth grade Luke began to study writing. He eventually wrote for the school's newspaper. He often wrote stories that pissed people off. Many stories caused threats from other students. Ahh, he was developing his very own style. Luke decided he would be a journalist. He graduated from High School in 1984

Luke's Childhood could easily be classified as an unhappy one. His beautiful loving mother got sick when Luke was very young. She was diagnosed with bone cancer and after a painful wasting away, died three years later, when Luke was four years old. Luke's father remarried quickly to a woman who also had medical problems. Luke and his siblings were shuffled around from house to house, among friends and relatives. This unstable upbringing made Luke an introspective, shy child, who felt like an outsider. Luke only got the attention he craved by misbehaving. He grew up missing the calming nurturing influence of a female figure in his life, which has shaped his adult personality and his conflict in the role a woman should play. He is still torn between wanting a smart, career-oriented woman to take care of him financially and a stay at home wife who cooks, cleans, pops out babies, and takes care of him emotionally. Which ever one of these women he chooses must also posses high morals and purity and of course be Jewish or willing to convert. ( I know I said Luke was raised a by a seventh day adventist minister. He was. I'll get to the Jewish part, just stay with me) In 1977 Luke moves with his father and his stepmother half way around the world to California for a fresh start, he ten years old.....
Holly was raised in a creative, bohemian, hippy-ish household. Holly's Mom Suze, with her sexy English accent brought in the income as a highly paid and highly respected photographer for Playboy, Hustler, Penthouse and most other of "those type" of magazines. Suze often shot with Holly around. This is memorialized in a published picture of Holly as a baby slung around Suze's front, as Suze's snaps pictures of a model. Holly's father, South African, Humphry Knipe, an attractive scholarly type stayed home to write his highly intellectualized, often controversial tomes. Holly and her siblings. were raised in an open-minded family, where nakedness, and sex were out in the open. As Holly got older, her family got richer, and she soon lived the life of a privileged teenager and then college student. She took photography classes and then began attending UCLA.....
