1: How did you get into PR?
I started in PR as an intern while I was in High School. I interned at Def American, an amazing record label, where the likes of The Black Crowes, Danzig, Sir Mix-a-lot, Henry Rollins, Skinny Puppy, would be walking the halls, or make it one hall. Everyone I spent time with there I still talk to, they were amazing people to learn from. I learned the basic fundamentals of entertainment publicity from the smartest people.
2:What are the best and worst things about your job?
I love what I do, so there are no worst things. Meeting people, constantly, is the best part of my job. So is making my clientele the people they want, or need, to be. Generating publicity is my rush.
3:You are often called upon to speak to people or in front of groups to "sell" your client or product. Have you ever gotten stage fright or tongue tied?
No, I was a singer all growing up, even earned a music scholarship. So performing in front of crowd, whether its spoken or singing, has always been fun for me.
4:What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you concerning your job?
When you get to walk some of these amazingly beautiful women into a room, and you are the guy doing it, well, the looks you get are quite entertaining.
5: Tell us some of the special places, ceremonies, countries, parties that you have gotten to go to because of your job?
I helped coordinate a special event for The Doors at The Whiskey, I was all over the news for it, and that was rather fun and amazing. The concerts I have helped publicize, the bands, even booking Vivid Girls for the Grammy Awards, that was quite spectacular.
6: Who are some of the most famous people you ever met?
It’s too long to list – but I learned at an early age to never be starstruck. There are very very few celebrities that would have me that way.
7: If you weren't doing this, what would you be doing?
Singing. In a choir, or in a band…
8: Who would be your dream client to get?
Every client of mine is a dream client – they work so hard, and they push me to work even harder than I already do. I love the relationships I have built with my clientele, past and present.
9: Tell me your best joke.
