X: Did you ever think your life in porn would be like this?
S: I thought it would be exciting to go this route in my life. But I never new it was going to happen this fast and be this much fun. It’s a whirlwind, but also a pleasure.
X: Sunny is such a perfect name for you.
S: Thank you.
X: You are and so full of positive energy. Could you give me an injection of it?
S: (Laughs) Absolutely. I think I am a fire cracker no matter what. Oh, I talked to your Publisher Bob, and he said you know how to pick girls. That you wanted me on the cover of the magazine right when I first got in the business. So you had me on the cover of Adult Fun 411. So you know how to pick ‘em. He was giving you kudos.
X: Well that was nice of him. I do think I pick pretty well of who will be big, but that doesn’t mean that anyone listens to me. (Laughs). But I am glad that they put you on the cover of 411, and now you are the cover of Xcitement. When Mary Carey first started out I thought she would be big. I also did the first interview with Briana Banks when she first became Briana Banks, and I knew she would be big too. But I knew when I first talked to you that you were going to be a big star. You have the smarts, and the looks and you have the “it” factor. Plus you have one thing that a lot of girls don’t have, which is the public relations ability. You know how to answer questions and handle the press. You know how to promote yourself. Obviously I’m not the only one who thinks so. Deja Vu Gentlemen’s Clubs thinks so also. Tell me about that.
S: I am so excited about the new Deja Vu contract. This is the first time ever that they have had a contract girl. When I went from ice skating to dancing it was at Deja Vu in Tampa, Florida. I won Showgirl of the Year in 2004 for them.
X: So that was your home club.
S: Yes. So when I was there I got to know everybody. That’s where I got the intro to the adult business. They have always been there for me. When I came out to LA, I danced at the North Hollywood Deja Vu. Now I am their contract feature entertainer.
X: So what are your duties?

S: I am exclusively dancing with them all around the United States and Internationally. That is for Deja Vu , Hustler, Little Darlings, Showgirls, and Dreamgirls. They have a lot of chains. I am going to go to 80 clubs of my choice out there all around the world. And they are opening up all kinds of new clubs, which they are working on right now. Also I do all their boutique signings. I am going to be in South Florida signing at Deja Vu Love Boutique, in Miami, South Beach. People can come and see me, it will be like a party. There will be music, and people can get movies, Poloroids, autographs. I will be there for three days, December 6, 7, 8th.
X: I was going to invite you to my house and to maybe do a photo shoot when you come down, but I know you are all booked up already.
S: Well I will be down for the Miami Exxxotica convention in April. We could set it up for then.
X: Great! I would love to have you and your parents over for dinner, and maybe have our photog shoot you.
S: I look forward to coming back for the Exxxotica show. I did really well there.
X: It’s a really good show. It’s so much more laid back down here.
S: I was at the first two. So the third show should be a blast.
X: I’m getting a hotel room down there this year. It’s close to me, but not close enough for a quick drive, and I hate driving in traffic. I’d never make it out in LA. I would have to have a driver.
S: I have a great Limo man in LA, Wallace, he takes me to all my red carpets. He took me to the Fox Reality red carpet where Danny Bonaduce flipped over that Fairplay guy.
X: I heard about that.
S: It was pretty insane.
X: Well I think Fairplay is an asshole. But Danny Bonaduce is an asshole too.
S: He’s a little crazy. But now he is coming to the adult side. I was just in San Francisco for the Exotic Erotic Ball, and he was there.
X: How was he? Because that is why I don’t like him. He was on the radio giving porn people a hard time, and now he is appearing at all the porn events. I hate hypocrites.

S: He did it with my parents and me (gave them a hard time) and then he said “It’s all for radio.” So when I saw him at Fox Reality I stepped right up to him, because we are the same size and I said, do you remember me? Sunny? and he said Lane. Now I am seeing him everywhere.
X: Well I heard he was married to a born again Christian, that’s why he hated porn and now that he is getting divorced he is all over porn. That made me not like him. What is the wildest sex you have had lately?
S: I was on an Elegant Angel set with Manuel Ferarra. I had on a red plether outfit with a bikini top and booty shorts, leg warmers and high heels, I guess that turned Manuel on because we starting kissing during the shooting of the stills and we went right into fucking all over the house from down the spiral stair case to the dirty floor.
So what do you want for Christmas?
S: I’ll take a Escalade with a navigational system.
X: Not black because all the rappers have black.
S: No, I want that electric blue, or pearl, with a magnet that says Sunny Lane on the side. I also want a nice video camera, because I am getting into that. I am working on my website. And a beautiful, prosperous, healthy, and no stress New Year.
X: That’s perfect. I am looking at your website. Lots of pictures of your mouth full! (Laughs)
S: I am working on my website. I need to update it.
X: You don’t have time to do everything! You are so lucky to have your parents to help you.
S: I am so blessed to have my parents.
X: Do you ever boss them around and they get mad at you? You must fight, you are together 24/7.
S: At times everybody has their moments. But it’s less then more. We don’t bicker a lot. My parents raised me as not just my parents but also my friends. They have been there for me no matter what.
X: You are so well known now, it’s incredible!
S: It’s CRAZY! It’s nuts. It’s nice and refreshing. You work to be appreciated for what you do. This is a talent and an art form. And it’s not easy, and not everybody can do this.
X: That’s true, and especially to be happy and positive while they are doing it.

S: Stop and smell the roses. It does get busy. I like having my myspace, and my website and going to the conventions and to meet the fans, and I’ve got IM LIVE that I am doing every Monday and Wednesday night, which is a live internet chat.
X: Who would you love to do a sex scene with?
S: I want to do a scene with Nina Hartley. I did a scene with Jules Jordan and Nina came up to me after ward and said I want to fuck Jules and you so bad. So I can’t wait. We are trying to set it up right now. Nina also told me that she would be passing the torch from her ass my ass. That’s an honor coming from her.
X: Yes it is! What movies do you have coming out?
X: What movies do you have coming out?
S: I just did the Seymore Butts movie, “How to Make a Porn”, with Tom Byron. It is actually teaching people how to make a porn and it’s also us getting off and doing a scene.
X; Who did you do your scene with? Tom Byron? He is a legend.
S: Yes he is a legend. He’s magnificent. I loved working with him. He knows how to work his unit!
X: (Laughs) And it still works pretty well, huh?
S: Absolutely. I also did The Make-Up.
X: That was all over myspace.
S: In The Make-Up I played a hooker. And it was a comedic act. It was fun, and I fucked John West.
X: He’s older, right?
S: I like the strong guys that can pick me up and flip me over…. I do like the older men. Even in my personal life.
X: I can’t see you dating a twenty year old. I see you dating a forty year old.
S: (Laughs) I like the older men, because they teach me things. I like to learn. The young ones you can just have fun with.
X: And you were in a book too. Michael Greco’s Naked Ambition.
S: That was really good. It was a lot of fun to go to the Cohen Gallery down here in Hollywood (CA). Dave Navarro said great things about my parents in the book, because he wrote the forward. It is an awesome book, and at the party there were lots of famous people from mainstream. Let me read you what Dave said. “Whether you dig it or not the adult entertainment industry is here to stay, and if it doesn’t bother Sunny Lane’s Mom and Dad, it sure as hell shouldn’t bother you. Peace.” That was the ending to his foreword. I thought that was awesome.
X: That is very awesome. So Dave Navarro is getting into porn also.
S: He’s shooting movies.
X: Yeah, he shot one for Teravision called Broken.

S: And from what I hear it’s pretty damn hot. I did a Geraldo Rivera with Dave Navarro and we talked about it.
X: It used to be adult industry people crossing over to mainstream and now it’s the opposite.
S: That’s right because sex sells! I think it’s awesome, because it is helping both sides out. I still want to do the crossover stuff. I was on ABC and Primetime, and passed on a positive message about our industry and what we are doing, and how America is repressed about our sexuality. Mainstream is coming over to us. That was my parent’s whole thing. Spend a little time with your children. Teach your kids about your past, present, future, about sex, drugs, alcohol, what goes on in your life. Don’t sugar coat it. Be real with your children. Then they won’t go to other people to try to figure it out. That was our whole message.
X: It was a good message. I know that some of those shows try to turn things around, and they tried with you but they couldn’t.
S: Exactly right.
X: There is another book I want you to be in. Mine! I am writing about love stories in the industry. Mostly couples. But there are a few special people that are single that I want in the book also. You, and Ron Jeremy, and Dave Cummings, and Hillary Scott, and a few more. I am sure that you have love stories to tell. One that you have had in the past, or what you are looking for.
S: Oh sure. What I am looking for in love would be a good story. Ron Jeremy is my best friend.
X: Could you ever see yourself being his girlfriend?
S: I get it. I understand what he is about. He is a wildman. He has a wild penis and he loves it. He runs wild and has a good time of it. And that is how he should be. Right now I am focused on what I have to do so I can’t be anybody’s girlfriend. We always joke around that I am going to have his baby one day.
X: Well he would be a lucky guy if that came true.
S: He says that I come from a good family and he knows my family and I know his family.
X: So do you want a girl?
S: Yes I want a boy and a girl. I love Ronny for who he is inside and out. He is my friend for life.
X: That’s great. He is a wonderful guy.
S: He is. He has been my mentor. I have been around great people like Ron, and Nina Hartley and Devinn Lane.
X: Being an ice skater and then being a porn star are similar in many ways.
S: I’m glad somebody else gets that.
X: You have to be in great shape. You have to work hard. You have to self-promote. You have to eat right and exercise. You have to be a fan pleaser.
S: It’s still telling a story on the ice skating rink in a skimpy little outfit. And when it comes to making a movie or dancing for Deja Vu, or a red carpet, you are still telling a story without opening your mouth.
X: A good title for this interview would be Taking the world by a Sunny storm.
S: True. I don’t take any shit either. I tell it like it is.

X: But you do it in a nice way. You are always nice to everyone. What is the best thing about your fans?
S: They are loyal and they always keep coming back for more. And they are always so pleasant
X: I heard that Quinton Tarantino wants to make a porn.
S: I would love to be in his porn.
X: What is the funniest thing that happened to you lately?
S: We were sitting there watching the Chippendales, me and Ann Marie from Playboy and a few other of us. And we looked over and what do you know, here comes running out naked Danny Bonaduce with his cock covered up by a hat, to the song “leave your hat on”
X: How is his body?
S: It’s pretty good.
X: It seems like he works out and stuff. Is he muscular?
S: He’s super muscular. I wonder if he has red hair down yonder.
X: I wonder. You’ll have to ask him about that the next time you see him. What is it they always say to girls? Does the carpet match the drapes? Ask him that. So Danny Bonaduce naked at the Cow Palace. How big was the hat?
S: It was a baseball cap.
X: Are you doing a KSEX show still?
S: Every Wednesday and Jack Lawrence is with me.
X: How is Jack Lawrence?
S: He is fun. He always wants to put out everyone’s fire with his tongue. Because he is an oral man. He won best oralist at the AVN’s. We do the educational side of porn.
X: And have you had first hand experience with Jack’s oral abilities?
S: Yes I have, on KSEX for forty-five minutes straight. It was pretty intense.
X: So that keeps you cumming back for more.
S: (Laughs) We have that going with each other, and we haven’t had sex yet, so we keep that playing back and forth.
X: The more sexual tension you create, the hotter your show will be.
S: Exactly, that is what we are going for.

X: What is the most exciting thing that you have gotten to do because of porn?
S: Just to move out to California and live this wonderful life. I know that is so crazy to say, all wrapped up in one, but this is a dream come true for the life that I get to live. I get to do all the fun things, like go to the red carpets, hold down the red carpets with me hosting. That’s fun. Having my KSEX show, and doing the IM LIVE. Making movies, and playing roles. I just did another Pussy Party with Nicki Hunter, and it’s her first time back.
X: How is she doing and looking?
S: She looks great and is doing great. She has a dark buzz cut. We had a blast.
X: Do you have an unfulfilled fantasy left?
S: I haven’t been in a music video yet. I haven’t gone sky diving yet, and I haven’t made my own movie yet.
X: Your own movie like written, directed, wardrobed, make-up and hair and starring Sunny Lane?
S: Holy Moly. I have hair and makeup people thank God. James Avalon is a super director.
X: So you are going to let other people work on it too. But you at least have to write the script and star.
S: Oh yeah. I have a bunch of things I want to do.
X: So you aren’t dating anyone because you don’t have time.
S: That is true. There is not any time to date anyone. I have a good time. I do save myself for my films, and I have great toys. And I have a couple guys that I know that I can call up and have a great time with.
X: Friends with benefits.
S: Exactly.
X: It’s good to have those. So what else have you been up to?
S: I just went out to Vegas for Dennis’s (Hof) Birthday at the Bunny Ranch. That was fun. Doing a lot of radio. And I am getting ready for “The Girl Next Door Tour” with Deja Vu that is going to be starting really soon. And it’s going to come to a city near everybody, so come out and see me!
